Greetings!
Hi! I’m Saari, a visual artist from northern Germany. My work is inspired by pop culture, tattoo art, fashion and my own identity. Digital illustration and animation are my main media; however, I also enjoy designing fashion, filming, and editing video essays.

In my degree, I got a solid introduction to all major fields of media work: film, photography, animation, game, and production design. Throughout my time in Hong Kong, I had the opportunity to find my personal field of focus and my creative style through repeated practical work.
The first three semesters of my studies, spent in Germany, focused on media theories and philosophy as well as the historical background.

Volunteering
This year was my first time working as a team leader of the volunteers, and it was an amazing learning experience! In this position, I was responsible for guiding and organizing groups of student volunteers by introducing them to their shifts and dealing with any issues.
I was more prepared for my second participation in SIGGRAPH as a student volunteer and could network with several industry specialists, recruiters, and fellow volunteers. I am excited to continue being part of the community and building connections in the computer graphics industry.
Attending and supporting the number one major international computer graphics convention gave me new insights into the industry and allowed me to make new friends in the field. I enjoyed working in a team and felt inspired by my volunteer friends’ stories and work.

Since April 2024, I have been responsible for conceptualizing and producing animated explainer videos to advertise products and inform customers about relevant concepts and theories. More about my work for Solvie here!
In May that year, I also started supervising the company’s digital presence by creating and managing content for social media and newsletters, creating advertisements on Google, and overseeing the company website.
